Our Siamese Breeding Program
I am a small Siamese Cattery located in Lexington, North Carolina (about halfway between Charlotte and Greensboro). I am a closed Cattery to protect the health of all my girls and boys who have been tested and are FIV and FeLV NEGATIVE. My queens and kings descend from well known CFA Grand Champion and Champion blood lines and produce kittens that are excellent examples of the MODERN DAY/SHOW Siamese type.<br><br>My focus is to breed high quality Siamese Kittens with excellent temperaments and lots of personality. That means my goal is quality not quantity. I only have a few litters a year and breed more as a hobby than a business. With veterinarian fees quickly approaching $200 per kitten, the cost of food, and other necessities, there is little if any profit made from my litters. I do this for the love of the Siamese breed and to share the special bond these wonderful cats have with people.<br><br> All kittens are born and raised indoors...in our home. They are not outside in a caged Cattery. This gives us hands on access to our kittens and their parents at all times. Yes,our Mothers and Fathers are inside living with us...always. In this way, we are giving kittens the best socialization possible before they go to their new homes. They are exposed to all the common household noises, and some uncommon ones, from birth which I think is important in the development of their temperaments. Kittens are not only handled by myself and my husband...but my children too. This way the kitties get used to little hands also. My children are taught to hold the highest respect not only for our Siamese family members, but for all animals in general. I think thats important if you are thinking of purchasing a kitten from me and you have children.<br><br> Once our kittens are old enough to run around, they live underfoot like the rest of our Siamese. This way, they know what being a part of a family is really like. We have our kings and their queens around so the kittens have an extended family giving them loving care and lots of opportunity for some Siamese play time. I think this is beneficial to them that they can also get along with other cats. They are very much loved and spoiled rotten before going to future loving homes. We keep our cats forever and try to pick families that will do the same for our kittens. Our adults are part of our family and live out their lives with us even after they are retired from breeding. We do not sell our retired breeders like most catteries do. It would be like giving away one of our children.<br> <br> Thank you for looking an please visit my website. If there ever was a Player in the cat world, Cleo would define that term. He can chat up females quicker than Brad Pit. Flowers and candy have half the effect of his voice on the cat women. He is a gentle, loving male who loves to chat with the ladies. Being wise for his years, Cleo knows once the mating is done...he must retreat like he just made love to a black widow spider or praying mantis. He will peek around corners until he feels safe to return to his girl. Although Cleo is King, his wisdom is such that he knows the Royal Ladies rule him and the house. He loves to lay in his favorite chair and have a good rub from us humans, but only when the girls are not around. Cleo is 9 lbs of solid ripped teddy bear. Although I look like a thug from the Pink Panthers gang, I am just a big lovable lap cat. I get all the ladies due to my bad boy looks, and I get to keep them cause I have a huge loving heart. I am less than a year old, but my lines are unmistakably royal. All my family are Grand Champions or Champions and I bring with me their style and poise. Although I have not sired any kittens yet, I have my sights on that beautiful little Vienna. I want her to be my Babies Mama. I love to chase her around the room, but alas she has too much speed for me to catch her. She usually will get tired of waiting for me and start chasing me. I hope to win her over with my songs. Yes, thats how I got my name, Mr. Meowsalot (Mr. M). I dont talk, I sing...for hours. If I catch your attention, you will never get a word in edgewise, let alone get away without a long conversation...even if it is just about what the weather is doing outside. Come by sometime and I will force my way into your lap and wiggle into your heart. I may make your ears a little tired...ok a lot tired, but you wont be disapointed one bit.
